“Beyond Me”
by Harry "Justice" Traynham

I yell, silent are my screams; I remain unheard, voiceless—I speak, to utter—I can only to sink into irrelevancy. Mattering not to the moment, I’m lost to yesterday, silenced by insignificance.

I’m an empty plea, a mere monotone prayer asking… Can I be?

Dreading the blankness of irrelevancy, I fight to matter, to matter beyond the significance of me. To be relevant and give meaning to the moment, for others—for myself to know, I am fit.

Fit to be heard, fit to rise above this irrelevance, and fit to be relevant. So that I know—in life, I matter—that I matter beyond the significance of me!
